As a Production Engineer at Stora Enso Skoghall, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the mill!

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a Production Engineer for one of our corrugated board machines at Skoghall mill. You will be part of a cross-functional team that works together to ensure availability, quality, and development. The team also serves as the management group for the section, consisting of a total of nine colleagues. In your daily work, you and another production engineer will share the technical responsibility for the corrugated board machine. The role includes initiating corrective and preventive actions to achieve both short-term and long-term goals, aimed at increasing the operational reliability and maintainability of production equipment. The work as a production engineer involves everything from discussions in the control rooms and practical work on the machine to systematic problem-solving and documentation in our systems. You will collaborate broadly within the organization with different departments and coordinate and act as a contact person for external personnel. Your main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring quality and machine availability.

• Participating in the planning and execution of activities during maintenance shutdowns.

• Contributing to improvement efforts regarding safety, environment, quality, and efficiency.

• Actively working towards achieving the factory's production and quality goals.

• Providing technical expertise.

• Actively participating in improvement projects, new investments, and reinvestments related to production.

PERSONAL QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary engineering degree in mechanical, process, or a similar field, and preferably with previous experience in process or production operations. Experience in paper or board manufacturing is a plus. You have a good understanding of machines, components, and how they interact. Since the role involves a broad network both internally and externally, you need to be a good relationship builder and enjoy a role where you interact with both colleagues and external parties. You are accustomed to working with problem-solving and root cause analysis through cross-functional collaboration. You are an initiator and have the courage to question and come up with new ideas to improve existing routines and instructions. You are an analytical, goal-oriented, responsive, and engaged team player who wants to take significant personal responsibility. The role requires good knowledge of Swedish and English.
